Natural ventilation: GEZE OL 90 at the Oasis recreation centre

In facilities that care for children, indoor air quality is subject to regulatory monitoring, which includes an assessment of ventilation systems. Indoor air can contain high concentrations of pollutants from building materials, cleaning products, or simply CO₂ generated by people in the room, which can have negative effects on concentration and learning. In areas that are used extensively throughout the day, regular air exchange is therefore essential. The ability to easily ventilate the space helps maintain good indoor air quality and contributes to the occupants' comfort.

At the Oasis recreation centre, the high-set transom windows are out of children’s reach and therefore pose no risk of pinching or accidents; as a result, they can remain open (170 mm) to allow for continuous air circulation. Equipped with GEZE OL 90 , they can be easily operated using the control handle. With their very slim profiles, the OL 90 scissors (the slimmest on the market) and its accessories blend discreetly into the frame without compromising the clean lines of the windows and doors. They are available in several finishes (with additional RAL colours upon request). Highly versatile, it is suitable for all types of windows (wood, PVC, or aluminium) and shapes (rectangular, triangular, trapezoidal, and semicircular). For specific applications, it is available in an outward-opening version, can be synchronized with up to 3 hinges (width up to 3,600 mm), or automated with the E212 electric motor.
Installation is also straightforward thanks to pre-assembled modules. The GEZE OL 90 provides a reliable and adaptable solution for natural ventilation, suitable for both new-build and refurbishment projects and for all types of window frames.
