GEZE supports humanitarian efforts

Adventure, generosity, and solidarity are the essential ingredients of the 4L Trophy, Europe’s largest off-road rally open to young people aged 18 to 28. The goal of this rally is to travel from France to Marrakech to deliver school and sports supplies to Morocco’s most disadvantaged children. A 6,500-kilometer journey behind the wheel of the legendary and historic 4L (Renault 4), during which participants must overcome desert obstacles and mechanical challenges, armed with a roadbook, a compass, and plenty of determination.

Among this year’s 1,800 participants, Camille (21), and Candice (20) set off on their adventure in their red Renault 4L.

As third-year medical students at the École de Santé des Armées in Lyon, they reached out to us to help fund their adventure; we naturally responded with a resounding YES, both to support them and to associate our brand with this charitable event.

Memories to last a lifetime

With its mix of intense emotions, camaraderie, and solidarity, the 4L Trophy is an exceptional experience for participants and a truly memorable adventure. The spirit of the 4L Trophy is rooted in mutual support, generosity, and kindness. Here, the most important thing isn’t to make it to the podium, but to cross the finish line—and above all, to take part.

What struck us most was the beauty and variety of the landscapes: from deserts with snow-capped mountains in the distance to fine sand dunes and cedar forests… On the driving side, we were nervous about crossing the wadi crossings, but somehow we managed to get through. And what a sense of satisfaction when you feel the tires regaining traction and know you’re going to make it!

Solidarity above all

The humanitarian aspect is just as important as the sporting aspect. As with every edition, the financial contributions and the school and sports supplies provided by the trophy winners offer tangible support to the association Enfants du Désert. Led by Laëtitia Chevallier, this organization works to promote children’s education in Morocco.
Since 2012, 30 classrooms have been built throughout Morocco. This year, donations will be distributed among 15 local organizations, and the amount raised by the participants (25,000 euros) will fund the construction of two new classrooms.

Concrete actions

Camille and Candice were lucky enough to be selected for the Ambassadors’ Day, along with 11 other teams. On the agenda: a visit to a sponsored school, interactions and games with the children… another highlight of their adventure.
For the French Red Cross (la Croix Rouge française), the 4L Trophy provides an opportunity to collect non-perishable food items brought by participants to the starting village—the equivalent of 22,000 meals—which are then distributed to underprivileged families.

Congratulations to all the participants for their wonderful energy!
